Shravan 2011

Shravan 2011 based on Hindu Calendar in 2011 – India Standard Time. Shravan Month, or Sawan Mahina, is one of the holiest Hindu months and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Shravan month is filled with auspicious days and numerous rituals are observed in the month. The Shravan Month 2011 in traditional Hindu calendar followed in North India begins on July 16 and ends on August 13. Mondays in Shravan month which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and many people observe the famous Shravan Somvar Vrat.

Note – Shravan Month in traditional Hindu calendars followed in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka begins on July 31 and ends on August 29.

Markandeya Purana in Hindi – Read Markandaya Puran Online

Trishulini Puja

Trishulini Puja is observed during the Durga Puja period in Ashwin month as per traditional Hindu calendar followed in North India. Trishulini Puja 2017 date is September 29. Trishulini is one of the names of Goddess Durga. The pooja is mainly performed in Mithilanchal.

The puja is performed on the Mahanavami day and is dedicated to the warrior form of Durga. Trishul or trident is one of the weapons that Durga uses to annihilate evil and restore Dharma.

The bug (Gochid) on the body of the cow only sucks in the blood, though the sweet and pure milk is in the immediate vicinity behind the skin.
