Chhath Puja is observed for four days in Kartik month (October – November) in Bihar, Jharkhand and other parts of India after Diwali. Chath Puja 2015 dates as per Hindu calendar are November 17 (Sandhya Argh – Chhat Dala Evening puja) and November 18 (Suryodaya Argh – Chhath Dala Morning puja). Nahai Khai is on The puja and rituals are edicated to Surya, Kartikeaya, Agni and Chhathi Mayya. November 15, 2015 and Kharna is on November 16, 2015. The puja and rituals are edicated to Surya, Kartikeaya, Agni and Chhathi Mayya.
The main rituals take place on the sixth and seventh day during the Shukla Paksha or waxing phase of moon. The important rituals include strict fasting and offerings to Surya Bhagvan (Sun God) on river bank or seashore.
