Bhadrapada Masa 2014 – Telugu Bhadrapad Month in Andhra Pradesh in 2014



Bhadrapada Masa is the sixth month in a traditional Hindu Telugu calendar followed in Andhra Pradesh. Telugu Bhadrapad Masam 2014 is from August 26 to September 24.  Some of the auspicious days in the month include Vinayaka Chavithi or Ganesh Chaturthi, Swarna Gouri Vratam, Rishi Panchami, Jyeshta Devi Puja, Ananta Chaturdashi and Proshtapadi Shraddha.

Some Hindu communities perform Tarpan and Shradh for dead parents and relatives during the Mahalaya Krishna Paksha period of Bhadrapada month (September 9 to September 24).

Bhadrapada Purnima or Full moon day is on September 9, 2014. The Purnima Vrat is marked on September 8. The Purnima begins at 10:04 AM on September 8 and ends at 7:39 AM on September 9. Mahalya Shradh period begins on the day. The day is also observed as Proshtapadi Shraddha.
