Onam Special Trains from Mangalore to Trivandrum in 2010

Southern Railway of Indian Railways has announced special trains for Onam festival in 2010 from Mangalore to Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) in Kerala. The trains from Mangalore are August 23, August 24 and August 30 with stops at Tiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kayamkulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod.

The trains from Trivandrum are on August 22, August 23 and August 29.

Advance reservation has started for all the below trains, which starts from Nagercoil.

Onam is the harvest of Kerala and in 2010, Thiruonam is on August 23.

Nagercoil – Mangalore Central – Nagercoil Onam Special Trains:

Train No. 0661 Nagercoil – Mangalore Central Special will leave Nagercoil at 13.30 hrs. on 22.8.2010 & 29.8.2010 and arrive Mangalore Central at 05.25 hrs. the next day.

Train No. 0662 Mangalore Central – Nagercoil Special will leave Mangalore Central at 13.35 hrs. on 23.8.2010 & 30.8.2010 and arrive Nagercoil at 04.45 hrs. the next day.

The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 12 Sleeper Class, 3 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

The trains will stop at Kulitturai, Tiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kayankulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrisur, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod.

Nagercoil – Mangalore Junction – Nagercoil Specials:

Train No. 0641 Nagercoil – Mangalore Junction Special will leave Nagercoil at 20.15 hrs. on 23.8.2010 and arrive Mangalore Junction at 11.45 hrs. the next day.

Train No. 0642 Mangalore Junction – Nagercoil Special will leave Mangalore Junction at 13.35 hrs. on 24.8.2010 and arrive Nagercoil at 04.45 hrs. the next day.

The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 6 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

The trains will stop at Kulitturai, Tiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kayankulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrisur, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod.
