Medam, or Meda Masam, is the ninth month in a traditional Malayalam calendar followed in Kerala. Vishu, the Zodiac New Year, is observed in this month. Meda Masam in 2012 is from April 14 to May 14. Apart from Vishu, another important festival in the month is the Thrissur Pooram.
Please note that Vishu is observed in 2012 on April 14 on Medam 1st day.
