Vaikunda Ekadasi at Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in 2011 - 2012

Vaikunta Ekadasi Festival in 2014 is celebrated for 21 days in the Tamil Month Margazhi (December – January) at the famous Srirangam Sri Ranganatha Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. In 2013 - 2014, Vaikunda Ekadasi Festival at Sri Ranganatha Temple begins on December 14. Vaikunda Ekadasi Fasting and Sorga Vasal opening is on January 11, 2013 at 04.15 AM.

The Vaikunta Ekadasi festival at Srirangam Sri Ranganatha temple is divided into ten days of Pagal pathu and ten days of rapathu or Irappatthu.

The ten days of Pagal pathu or Pagalpatthu begins on January , 2014 and ends on January 11 with Mohini Alankaram.

The ten days of ra pathu or Irappatthu begins on January 12, 2013after the Vaikunda Ekadasi or Sorga Vasal Ekadasi. Irappathu ends on January , 2014. Nammalwar Moksham is on January , 2014.

On the Vaikunta Ekadasi day, Lord Ranganatha (Vishnu) comes out through the Paramapada Vasal and arrives at Thirumamani Mandapam (in the thousand pillared hall). Lord Rangaraja then leads his divine court and is visited by thousands of devotees. Nalayira Dhivyaprabandham is recited throughout the day and devotees spend the entire period singing and chanting.
