Goddess Parmavati is an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi. Shri Padmavati Ammavaru Kartika Brahmotsavam 2009 is from November 13 to November 21,

Legend has it that Goddess Lakshmi, who was offended at Lord Vishnu forgiving Bhrigu Maharshi who had kicked Him, arrived at the netherworld and remained there for 12 years immersed in a holy pond. In the 13th year, in the month of Kartik (October – November) Goddess Lakshmi reappeared on a Golden Lotus here at the temple.

There is a popular belief that a visit to Tirupati Temple is fruitful only after visiting the Sri Padmavathi Devi temple.

During the Kartika Brahmotsavam at the temple, Goddess Parmavati is taken around the temple in Vahanas or vehicle.
