Grah Pravesh, also known as housewarming, is an important ceremony for a devout Hindu. Below are the Hindu good dates for 2012 based on Panchangs and Hindu calendars to move into a new house in 2012. The auspicious time for Grih or Gruh Pravesh is also known as Vastu Muhurt or Muhurat. Majority of the Hindus select an auspicious time and date based on Hindu astrology for moving into a new house.
Please note that this article is only meant to give a general idea regarding the available dates for Grah Pravesh in 2012. There will be regional variations and sometimes the entire period in a mentioned day might not be suitable for the housewarming ceremony.

October 2012 – There are no auspicious dates due to Shradh Paksha.
November 2012 – November 15, 19, 21, 23, 26, 29 and November 30
December 2012 - December 10, 26, 29 and December 31

Looks fake to me. Navratri is in March and it is always auspicious.
@ Anonymous...navratri is not always in March. I crosschecked with my calendar this is correct. There is shukra lop and adhik masa this year.

yes Navratri is always auspicious... and this year it is in March.. so these dates seem to be a bit strange to me as well

Is there a rule that a marriage and a Griha Pravesh cannot be done in the same year for a family. I am getting married in July 2010 but also buying a house in next month i.e. May 2010. One of our Pandits was saying that its not good to perform 2 auspicious events in the same year. Kindly let me know if this can be done or its true or if there is a samadhan for it to be done.

Akshaya Trititya is one of the three and half days in which there is no need for checking auspciosness. Every moment on the day is auspicious so we did not mention it here. but we will as people have doubt

No it has nothing to do with the rashi of the person. Grah pravesh muhurat are independent and changes every year.
