In spiritual progress, we become more and more selfless in our dealings with others; we feel an inner joy and peace.
Think of your mental state in the past and compare it with your present state; you will see the difference brought by sadhana.
Similarly, examine how many times in the day you think of God. How much time is spent in contemplating on Him? Find out what thoughts come to the mind when falling asleep and on waking up. That would give a true indication of the contents of the mind. These are the ways to find out spiritual progress.

I am so thankful to lord muruga.
Yes it is a miracle that he made in my life.I had alot of faith in god when i was young.but as I grew up I just forgot the spirit and power of the lord. I started developing negative thoughts and suffered alot purely because of my mistakes . Recently my wouldbe started a pet shop as he loved pets. It went on good for 2 months but then came the deadly disease called PARVO VIRUS which attacked the small puppies. We have already lost 3 of our puppies being unaware of the disease. now 2 more have shown symptoms. we shifted all our dogs to our home. but the 2 puppies were is a very bad state. Puppies attacked by parvo hardly survive.. We were almost dead by heart and soul. We became depressed, hated each other. I even went to an extent to hurt myself for not taking good care of those little puppies.Because I love and care for puppies and dogs more than my life. It may sound silly. But I am born with that character and could not come out of it. On saturday morning i started crying for no reason. Then i saw the picture of lord perumal in my room and pleaded to help the puppies to survive and to forgive my sins.. then had abnormal feel which made me feel very uncomfortable.. then i played KANDHA SASTI KAVASAM in my laptop.some unknown power started consoling me very much so that evnening I went to rama temple near my home and prayed.. I asked him to give us the power to struggle the disease and the power for the puppies to fight the disease. I am still speechless. The puppy has shown improvement and I am very thankful. This is the song which made miracles happen.. I am so ashamed of myself for not developing constant prayers and remembering in times of emergency. i am really sorry for my behavior.. I fall to my lord's feet and ask for forgiveness.. He gives life even to a stone.. His actions are marvelous.. Believe in God. stay at his feet. He take good care of us.
