Apart from merry making and celebrating, Diwali, or Deepavali, is also the time for performing important pujas like Lakshmi puja, opening of account books by business people, investing in gold and properties. Here are the dates and Muhurat for 2010 to perform Pushya Nakshatra, Vagh Barash, Dhanteras or Dhanvantari Puja, Hanuman Puja, Chopada Pujan, Sharda Puja and Lakshmi Puja. In 2010, the date of Diwali is November 5 .
The Muhurats are provided by Dharmesh Bhai, an astrologer based in Gujarat .

A large section of Hindu society believes in astrology look for ideal time (muhurats) to do the pujas and investments. There are also an equal number of people who are only interested in the particular day and they skip the muhurats and do puja during a convenient time.

Which are the days according to hidu panchang that do not need to see panchang shuddhi?Some i know are Akshay Tritiya, Dasera ,Dhan Teras and Gujarati's new year.if there are more pl. put it on your blog.
