Padmanabha Dwadashi

Padmanabha Dwadashi is observed on the 12th of Shukla Paksha (during the waxing phase of moon) in Ashwin month (September – October). Padmanabha Dwadashi 2011 date is October 8. Lord Vishnu is worshipped in the form of Anantha Padmanabha on the day. The worship on the day is a continuation of previous day, which is known as Pasanakusa Ekadasi.

On Pasankusa Ekadasi day, the Anantha Padmanabha form of Lord Vishnu is worshiped.

Worship on Padmanabha Dwadashi helps a person attain liberation and his desired results. Staunch Vishnu devotees believe that worship on Ekadasi and Dwadashi of the Anantha Padmanabha will help them attain Moksha.
