Kanaka Durga Temple at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh is one of the popular Durga shrines in South India. During the 10-days of Navratri and Dasara festival, 10 different types of Alankarams will be performed to Sri Ammavaru. Mother Goddess will appear in ten different forms during the ten days of the festival. In 2011, Navratri puja begin on September 28 and ends on October 6.
