Champak Dwadasi Vrat



Champak Dwadasi, also known as Chambak Dvadashi, is observed on the 12th day of the Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of the moon) of Jyeshta Month (May – June). Champak Dwadasi Vrat is observed by many Vishnu devotees and it is the second day of the Rukmini Haran. The day is also of great importance at the famous Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri. In 2014, the date of Champak Dwadasi is June 10.

The leaves and flowers of Champak flowers are used for the puja on the day. This observance is limited to certain Hindu communities. The main event on the day is held at Jagannath Temple.
