Vaikunta Ekadasi Festival Live Online from Srirangam Ranganathaswamy Temple

The official website of Srirangam Ranganathaswamy Temple will upload Mohini Alankaram ritual and the Vaikunta Ekadasi for real-time viewing. Mohini Alankaram also known as ‘Nachiar Tirukkolam’ is on December 27. Vaikunta Ekadasi is on December 28.

Mohini Alankaram also known as Nachiar Tirukkolam will be uploaded starting with the Namperumal Ppurapadu from the sanctum sanctorum at 0600 hrs on December 27, 2009 (Indian Standard Time).

On December 27, 2009 evening, the uploading will begin with the ‘purapadu’ of Namperumal from the Arjuna Mandapam at 1700 hrs (Indian Standard Time) and will last for two hours till ‘purapadu’ reaches the Garuda Mandapam through Tirukottarapraharam.

On December 28, 2009, the most important ritual of ‘Vaikunta Ekadasi,’ signifying the opening of the ‘Paramapada Vasal’ will be uploaded at 0500hrs (Indian Standard Time).

Last year Madurai Meenakshi Temple had attempted the live streaming of Chithirai Festival but most of the devotees failed to view the festival online due to bandwidth problem.
