O Goddess Saraswathi;
Salutations to you
The giver of boons - The one who fulfills desires.
I shall begin my studies.
May there always be accomplishment for me.

Saraswati Vandana

May Goddess Saraswati,
who is fair like the Jasmine colored moon
and whose garland is like frosty dew drops,
who is adorned with radiant white clothes
and on whose beautiful palm and arm rests the Veena,
those throne is a white lotus, and who is surrounded and
respected by Gods beginning with Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and
Lord Mahesh, protect me. I beseech Her to totally
remove my laziness and sluggishness.

Saraswathi Gayatri Mantra

Om Vakdeviyai cha Vidhmahe,
Virinji Pathniyai cha Dheemahe,
Thanno Vani Prachodayath.

Om, Let me meditate on the goddess of speech,
Oh, wife of Lord Brahma, give me higher intellect,
And let Goddess Vani illuminate my mind.
