Special Arrangements at Tirumala Tirupati Balaji Temple for New Year 2009

The abode of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala Tirupati witness heavy rush during New Year. Thousands of people visit the Tirupati Balaji Temple on December 31, 2008 and January 1, 2009. For a hassle free darshan, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has made several important arrangements including cancellation of passes and some Sevas.

No passes will be issued for Srivari Darshan on January 1, 2009 and Vaikunta Ekadasi on January 7, 2009.

Govindamala devotees will have darshan of the Lord along with other devotees through VQC-II on these days. There will be no special arrangements made for them.

In view heavy rush of pilgrims on New Year on January 1st and Vaikunta Ekadasi on January 7th all the Arjitha Sevas are cancelled from December 31 to January 2 as well as on January 7.

As huge number of pilgrims visit Tirumala during these days necessary arrangements like food, medical, transportation, accommodation, sanitation, water, electricity and other facilities will also be completed before December 15th. (Source: Tirumala official News)
