Sabarimala Special Trains 2011 - 2012 for Mandala – Makaravilaku Festival

Sabarimala Special Trains 2011 - 2012 - Indian Railways has announced special trains for the two month (November - December - January) long pilgrimage to the Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple for Mandala – Makaravilaku Festival 2011 - 2012. According to Indian Railway press release, there are special trains from Chennai, Bangalore, Kakinada, Salem, Erode and other important town in Tamil Nadu. Advance reservation for the Sabarimala 2011-2012 special trains will commence on 17.11.2011.

1)Train.No: 06001/06002 Chennai Central - Kollam - Chennai Central  Specials:

            T.No.06001 Chennai Central – Kollam superfast special will leave Chennai Central Thursdays at 15.15 hrs. and arrive Kollam at 05.35 hrs. the next day.

 T.No.06002 Kollam – Chennai Central Special will leave Kollam at 11.30 hrs. on Fridays and arrive Chennai Central at 04.00 hrs. the next day.

Sabarimala Railway - The nearest railway station to Sabarimala is the Chenganur Railway Stations. Ayyappa devotees can also get down at Ernakulam, Kottayam and Thiruvalla Railway Stations to reach Sabarimala.
