Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel is a devotional television channel floated by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the body that administers Lord Balaji Temple at Tirupati. The 24-hour channel aims to propagate the glory of Venkateswara and the teachings of Hinduism.
Newspapers have been reporting about the channel for more than a year including reports about its inauguration. But the launch of the channel was postponed several times.
It seems the Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel will go on air in July 2008, during Amritotsavam – the diamond jubilee celebration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.
Hope the channel, apart from the regional language programs, will air some content in English so that youngsters can understand more about the glory of Sri Venkateswara.
