Hindus in South Asia and the Diaspora: A Survey of Human Rights 2007 by Hindu American Foundation (HAF) Released

A human rights report titled Hindus in South Asia and the Diaspora: A Survey of Human Rights 2007 was released by Hindu American Foundation (HAF) on May 19, 2008. The report indicates that persecution, discrimination and terror are daily realities for millions of Hindus in South Asia.

The fourth annual report covers human rights conditions in ten nations and regions across the world during 2007 – Bangladesh, Bhutan, Fiji, the Indian state Jammu and Kashmir, Malaysia, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, and Trinidad and Tobago. Some of these countries had a sizeable Hindu population but it is no longer the case today.

The Hindu American Foundation is a non-profit, non-partisan organization promoting the Hindu and American ideals of understanding, tolerance and pluralism.
