It is celebration time and I sincerely hope everyone have fun and meet old friends. Specially I pray to almighty that it passes off peacefully.

I am at Bhubaneswar, Odisha from the last 2 years and now I am very much excited that this year I am going to my home town for Durga Puja... It is very nice that I will meet all my friends. In my opinion Pujo means "ADDA", where I will meet my friends and family, spend time with them, eat, drink and enjoy....Jai Durga ma.

I have been out of the country for almost 20yrs. Went back during Pujo 11yrs ago. I become very heavy hearted & nostalgic at this time of the year. Memories of my childhood going to pandals, giving anjali, spending time with friends & family all come rushing back. I don't particularly enjoy the Puja atmosphere here where I live. So I spend time listening to Mahalaya, Bengali songs & get the taste of Durga Pujo from Tara music & Bengali news on TV.

Hon'ble Sir / Madam ,

Our organization Youth Fraternity Foundation (YFF) has undertaken a project: Pushpanjali Prawaha ‘The flow of devotional flowers’ the new method for disposal of left over flowers and other puja samigri in the year 2011 in Delhi.

We hereby want to draw your kind attention to the pollution that happens in Yamuna every year. These pollutants are nothing but the left over sacred puja samigri used during the worship i.e. Flowers, Religious Cards /Posters/ Calendars, Pictures of different deities on the packets of Incense sticks, Clothes in sacks and Plastic bags etc.

During 4th to 7th Oct , 2011 on the occasion of " Shardiya Navratras & "Durga Pooja" around 40,000 people will put near about 6.0 lac kg of sacred material in the Yamuna. We can stop this once for all and solicit your cooperation.

Since last 10 years Yamuna has been polluted every year with these sacred items. Yamuna is filled up with silt thus narrowing the river bed that cause floods in rainy season in Delhi. More over the river basis has also been narrowed/squeezed these are the reasons that the river is drying gradually but at an alarming rate und become prone to floods.

This is a matter of concern for the Govt. of Delhi and other organization involved to check pollution in NCT but despite of the best efforts to check the pollution in river Yamuna people are not ready to cooperate, however, our Foundation interact with the people of the city and explained the plan and they are ready to cooperate and come forward to extend helping hands in this noble cause. I hereby request your goodself to come forward and support our foundation to check pollution in Yamuna. The Foundation has all the arrangements to stop the people from polluting it further and anticipating your active cooperation to sanctify Yamuna & keep the environment Safe and Clean. The Foundation has both the reason and solution to this problem.

Thank you.
Gopi Dutt Aakash ( President )

The Foundation checks the people who dump or throw left over pooja samigri in Yamuna and to clean the river by taking out the same besides making arrangements to avoid polluting the river further.

Hey, this is all a stupid idea! its not that i hate god, but i'm not interested in holding a party. THIS IDEA SHOULD BE RENAMED TRI-STATE PARTY. A pooja is a pooja!
