In an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court of India on the Sethusamudram project, the Congress-led UPA government in India has questioned the existence of Lord Ram and has said he is a mere mythical character.

“…contents of the Valmiki Ramayana, the Ramcharitamanas by Tulsidas and other mythological texts… cannot be said to be historical record to incontrovertibly prove the existence of the characters, or the occurrence of the events, depicted therein.”
The statement was given by Archeological Survey of India (ASI) on behalf of the Central Government.
In simple terms, the statement of the Congress-led UPA government says that Lord Ram and other Hindu gods are not real.

I am not surprised the Government made such a statement when Hindus themselves have no belief in Lord Rama.
Whenever you read up about Lord Rama or Krishna or Mahabharata they are filed under a section called MYTHOLOGICAL!!
Hindus who file them as mythological are then siding with the fact that Rama and Krishna are false.
You never hear Jesus as Mythological! Yet he did amazing miracles like walk on water and it s all TRUE.
Only Hindu Gods who perform miracles are mythological.
How can we blame the Government on their findings and how can Hindus raise a voice against such a statement?
They cant.
Until Hindus file them as Historical, they will always be False, nonexistent, made up, stories, mythological.
I blame all the individual Hindu writers and bloggers and websites for declaring Hindu Gods as False.
I cannot blame the Government.

When a Hindu uses the term mythology it has far more significance and meaning. Hinduism makes virtually no distinction between mythology and religion. Santana Dharma or Hinduism gives more importance to the message. Hinduism evolved, while other religions were founded and nobody knows the beginning of Hinduism. Lord Ram, Krishna, Ganesha all played a vital role in that evolution.
Mythology is cleverly used to explain universal truth to masses. These myths are part of all Gods in Hinduism.
If the government had understood the true essence of Hinduism, it would not have given such an affidavit. That affidavit hurts millions of Hindus.
