Sayings of Sri Aurobindo on Fate

There is no Fate except insistent causality which is only another name for Law, and Law itself is only an instrument in the hands of Nature for the satisfaction of the spirit. Law is nothing but a mode or rule of action; it is called in our philosophy not Law but Dharma, holding together, it is that by which the action of the universe, the action of its parts, the action of the individual is held together.

If there is gud & bad' cause and reason in this creation, then Fate also must exist.
punya_shali vasante divou / papatma yanti tamam /
thus says shruti.
which means 'good deeds brings' good which is nothing but ' karmic deed fruits = Fate '.

This fate is again ruled by "vidhi" and thru the "bhagavat shakti - called as 'niyati'.

Fate would need one to pore over and upon charts, readings, sets and arrangements. It can be a tool to help guide one but still one needs to not leave everything to fate and actually do something. With information and skills one can employ ways to actually deal with fate as best as can be.
