The South Indian Education Society (SIES), Matunga, in association with the Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam will be organizing the celestial wedding of Lord Balaji and Goddess Padmavati on December 2 and 3, 2006 at Mumbai. It will be held at the MMRDA Grounds, Bandra Kurla Complex.
The very same idols used to perform the celestial wedding ceremony at Tirupathi are being brought to Mumbai. It should be noted that the original idol of Balaji is immovable as it is fixed and separate idols are used for the celestial wedding ceremony.
